I've got kids

kids

Following the example of Jesus, at CCIW we love and value kids.  Our church programs include activities for kids to be a part of, and adults activities that include childminding.  To ask any questions about our kids activities, contact our Director of Children's Ministries Tim Pedley.

MOCHA

MOCHA, our group that welcomes all mothers of pre-school kids, runs 9.30-11.30am on Fridays at the St John's church building. The morning starts with free play, morning tea, singing and a bible story, with English classes available for mums and carers.

BLAST

Our Friday kids club for years K-6, BLAST, runs 3.30-5pm during school terms at the St John's Hall in Ashfield. BLAST is an opportunity for all kids in our area to have fun together while learning about Jesus.

Kids Church

A Key part of Sundays at 10am (at St John's and St Alban's) is Kids Church. Dedicated Kids Church staff teach our children, in words and actions, abut the Lord Jesus Christ and his love and sacrifice for them - and they love it! Its quite common to hear parents say that if for some reason they have to miss church one week, the kids are outraged! Kids Church quickly becomes a highlight for them.

School Scripture

Each week, CCIW members teach over 200 kids in 14 classes about the love and forgiveness that are found in Jesus.  We'd love to welcome your kids to our scripture classes at Haberfield, Dobroyd Point and Five Dock primary schools.

Baptism

Baptism is a symbol of entry into God's church. Whilst children must make their own response of trust in Christ when they are able to do so, Christian parents often bring their children for baptism when they are a few months old.  See our baptisms page for more information.

And for parents...

Women's fellowship group: Being a mum with young kids is exhausting! Getting adult conversation when you're actually awake can be a challenge. The women's fellowship group is held on Wednesday mornings at St John's Ashfield. And the best part is, there are volunteers to look after the kids!
